This privacy policy applies to the website menuowl.net as well as the MenuOwl SaaS platform for creating and managing digital menus. This statement informs you about the type, scope, and purpose of the processing of personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect and process personal data only to the extent necessary:
Registrierungsdaten (Name, E-Mail-Adresse, Restaurant-Name) bei der Kontoerstellung
Nutzungsdaten (IP-Adresse, Browser, Betriebssystem, Zugriffszeiten) für Sicherheit und Betrieb
Vertragsdaten (Abonnementplan, Abrechnungszeitraum) bei kostenpflichtiger Nutzung
Kommunikationsdaten (Inhalt Ihrer Nachricht) bei Kontaktaufnahme über unser Kontaktformular
Menü-Daten (Speisekarten, Gerichte, Bilder) die Sie als Nutzer in der Plattform anlegen
Besucher-Statistiken (anonymisiert: Seitenaufrufe Ihrer öffentlichen Speisekarte, Gerätetyp) im Rahmen der Analytics-Funktion
4. Purpose of processing
Processing is based on the following legal grounds (Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR):
Vertragserfüllung (lit. b) — Bereitstellung der MenuOwl-Plattform und aller gebuchten Funktionen
Berechtigte Interessen (lit. f) — IT-Sicherheit, Fehlerbehebung, Betrugsprävention und Plattformverbesserung
Einwilligung (lit. a) — Transaktions-E-Mails und optionale Produktneuigkeiten (nur mit ausdrücklicher Zustimmung)
Gesetzliche Verpflichtung (lit. c) — Steuerliche Aufbewahrungspflichten (§ 132 BAO)

All data is stored on servers within the European Union:

We use only technically necessary cookies for the operation of the platform:
Session-Cookie: Für die Anmeldung und Sitzungsverwaltung. Wird nach dem Schließen des Browsers gelöscht.
CSRF-Token: Schutz vor Cross-Site-Request-Forgery-Angriffen. Technisch notwendig.
Sprachpräferenz: Speichert Ihre gewählte Anzeigesprache. Ablauf: 1 Jahr.
No analytics or marketing cookies are set.
8. Payment Providers
For payment processing we use Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). Stripe processes payment data according to its own privacy policy and is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Card data is processed exclusively by Stripe and never stored on our servers.
9. Auftragsverarbeitung
Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all service providers that have access to personal data.
Within the MenuOwl platform, Webagentur Hochmeir e.U. acts as a data processor for data that you enter into your menu as a platform user.

Your public menu is accessible to all internet users. The data displayed there was entered by you. Anonymized visitor statistics are collected without personal identification.
